Sony bringing flOw to the (PC) Playstation Store?
January 30, 2008 on 6:43 pm | In Uncategorized | Comments OffAfter becoming a viral flash game on the PC, and then coming to the Playstation Network for the PS3, it only makes sense that Sony brings it to the PSP next. According to the SCEE website, the title will become portable this month. However, this month ends tomorrow, so that might not happen. If (read: When) the title does come to the PSP, it will include an ad-hoc mode for up to four players, and can only be downloaded from the PS Store. We'll report more when some form of confirmation arrives. [Playstation UK, via Kotaku]

Firmware Update 3.90 now available, get your Skype on! [UPDATE]
January 29, 2008 on 11:49 pm | In Uncategorized | Comments OffSony has once again tarnished my reputation by refusing to release the Skype feature under Firmware 4.0, and has instead just released firmware 3.90! As promised, it's the end of January, and Skype has come. The update is mostly for the new chat feature, with some "added support" for PSN titles. Skype allows you to chat with your friends from PSP to PSP (PSP Slim required), or even from your PSP to another Skype phone or PC. You'll need to get a Skype account, WiFi access, PSP remote, and a Skype-compatible headset. The calling is free, but other options are available, like a dedicated number. See the Skype website for more information. Right now you'll need to use the Network Update feature on your PSP to update, but we'll post the Firmware 3.90 file once it's on the System Update page. Give us a shout in the comments with some feedback on the new functionality. Here's John Koller showing off the Skype setup, via Playstation.Blog: [Thanks AlphaCananogram!] Update: I should also remind members that this firmware update is for US and European units only. The Japanese Skype update has been delayed, and installing this update on a PSP with the SKU "-2000" will likely not bring Skype, and has been reported as such by one of our members.
