GDC ‘08: Sony promises Wi-Fi Playstation Store!
February 20, 2008 on 11:18 pm | In Uncategorized | Comments OffIt's surely been in development for awhile, and it still may not be released this weekend, but it's definitely coming. Sony has today promised to bring a Wi-Fi Playstation Store to the PSP, giving you the ability to "purchase and download content direct to the PSP (no USB cable)". Once released, you'll be able to download demos, video trailers, and other PSN content without the use of a PC or PS3. In order to purchase content from the upcoming Wi-Fi store, you'll need a wireless hotspot, and have some form of credit setup on your PSN account. Hopefully those without credit cards will be able to take advantage of the Playstation Network cards. Sony has not mentioned a release date at this time.
Check out this fuzzy Monster Hunter pouch!
February 20, 2008 on 1:17 am | In Uncategorized | Comments OffIf you're living in Japan, and you own a PSP, you have a brilliant opportunity. That opportunity is the ability to purchase this case, which may be the coolest game-related accessory to-date. This is another Monster Hunter item, looking to sell out in the country that goes Monster Hunter crazy. The pouch (pictured below, more images after the break) features a fuzzy outer coat, with an inside that mimics animal hide. There is also a case available with Monster Hunter designs, that can slide into this pouch. Both accessories fit both the PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 models, looking to provide protection in arctic conditions. Well, maybe not sub-zero, but it sure looks warm! The case and pouch become available at the same time Monster Hunter 2nd G launches (March 27th), for 1,980 yen and 2,980 yen, respectively.
