cable stuff + EA fifa 08 online error !!

hi all

am new in this forum and hope to attend as much as i can
let's get to this straight
i got a "fat" psp long ago
i got a punch of gr8 games and started playing them as well !
badly the micro USB cable is no longer working !! and tried to use other micro psp cables i used 2 hv bfr but here is the message that pop's up in mindows xp after connecting the psp cable

" USB Device Not Recognized"
well , i went to a electronic shop that i could find that usb cable but i founded it so expensive .
now my question is ,, can i use any other micro usb cables that would connect my psp successfully ?

that was the case nom.1

now for the most damn thing that anger alot is that while playing fifa 08 online i got a message after selecting the opponent and in the end of the loading page a message came out with a crash !!
it says something like that "connection to your opponent is lost" and i never be able to play only once !!!

maybe 100 failure every 1 seccesfully game :D
and that SUCKS !!!!

wtvr hope someone would give me a hand

by the way my English SUCK coz am from EGYPT :D
